#LUCELOVESAR: #4 Susi Lee

#LUCE LOVES ART – The beauty of Art lies in its diversity. It is a form of expression that can be shaped in the simplest and most genuine way, the one that best represents you. Yours.

With this project, we wanted to tell this theme that we like so much, adapting it to our Luce, in a perfect mix of style and originality.

We chose to introduce you to some artists: pleasant new discoveries, but also familiar faces. We had fun with them, taking some photos and chatting about their art and their special qualities, in their uniqueness and their work.

1) Hi Susi! How would you define your aesthetic? I define my style as maximalist, surrealist, and abstract. I have a strong influence on color due to my Afro-descendant and indigenous origins. The shapes are the result of my admiration for nature, for its sinuosity and for the movement it has even when it is static and observes us.

2) What are the distinctive features of your works? Color and form are two fundamental things in the development of my works; color is what gives character and feeling to the graphic, and form is what makes you imagine, dream about what is inside each piece.

4) What is your "Light", that thing that "turns you on"? Admiring and observing the beauty of what surrounds me, traveling to new places with new shapes and colors to discover, or simply returning home (my country of origin) and recharging myself with the color of its landscapes and human warmth is what drives me to create. My compositions are the result of everything I have stored during my life and which then spontaneously emerges on a canvas.
