Tell us a bit about yourself…
I am Marzia Peragine, originally from Puglia, adopted by Milan. I started as a Fashion Stylist, working freelance for years. I love mixing clothes and styles; I hate vulgarity and bad taste. I consider Lady Diana, Grace Kelly, and Audrey Hepburn, the divas of the past, as my muses. I feel I belong to another era, both in terms of my conception of female beauty and in terms of clothing and, especially, manners.
I evolved my path from Fashion Stylist to Content Creator, always operating with the same modus operandi: every time I think about my photos, I have to recreate a story, take on the role of the character I choose to adopt, and through a real photoshoot, with a full staff, I start to bring my imaginary story to life. In 2016, I specialized as a Beauty Content Creator at Condé Nast Academy in collaboration with SDA Bocconi, which allowed me to deepen my knowledge of the beauty sector in the digital world, completing my 360° training in the fashion sector.
Currently, alongside my content creator activity, I am also the Social Media Manager for an aesthetic medical clinic and art gallery, SOTHERGA, in the Montenapoleone area. It's a digital project that started with my arrival, and I am so proud of how it is developing.
How did your passion for photography begin?
I’ve always been passionate about photography. As a child, I always had a thousand photos taken of me in different outfits; I was very vain. Growing up, I started discovering photographers like Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton, Steven Meisel, Peter Lindebergh, David LaChapelle, Patrick Demarchelier, Tim Walker, Mario Sorrenti, Paolo Roversi, and the more contemporary Giampaolo Sgura.
What I appreciate about photography is the inspiration phase; it comes from within, you don't know when it will arrive, but in that moment, you feel you have to freeze that instant because it's exactly the "picture" you imagine in your head.
What is your biggest dream?
I never reveal my biggest dreams in interviews; I'm super superstitious!
What does “Luce” mean to you?
I find the Luce brand very retro, much like my soul, but with that touch of modern that makes everything impeccable. I feel very aligned with the image of the LUCE woman and I am very happy to be among the muses of this project.
