#LUCELAB : PATTYLAND

Explore the heart of the workshops and get to know the people who bring them to life

This new edition invites you on an intimate and authentic journey, made of passions, memories, and personal experiences. We asked the new protagonists to tell us what some words that are close to our hearts mean to them: feminine, special, and comfortable. Three simple but profound concepts that hold the essence of LUCE—not just as a collection, but as a state of mind, feeling, and way of living.

It all started with a primary school ruler. Yes, really. A ruler that gave life to a colorful and creative world, which has now become a regular event in Verona: PATTYLAND.

The latest episode of LUCELAB is special because, for the first time, we interviewed two people: the duo Marta and Giulia. In fact, we could almost call them old friends. Marta has been a bimba di Luce, as she likes to call herself, for years now. Giulia, on the other hand, came into the picture thanks to her—and also thanks to some Pattyland events we participated in as a brand.

Marta has a background in communication, Asia, and many flights, but three years ago she decided to change her life. Together with Giulia, she shaped what they now call “our event agency”—said like that, it still makes her smile, but in fact, Pattyland has become a structured project full of heart. She collects flags from places she’s visited, absorbs everything she sees, thinks and reworks, and is the creative half of the duo.

Giulia, on the other hand, is—as she likes to define herself—the practical half of Pattyland. The one who produces, organizes, and fits things together. But the truth is, she also lets creativity flow through her and enjoys chasing one idea after another. You can tell this perfectly from their WhatsApp chat: on any given day, or at an indefinite hour (even in the middle of the night), a photo might arrive of a detail found by chance in a restaurant, of an object hanging on one of their children's lockers, of a decoration or a color. Because between the two, there are no rigid roles. They influence, collaborate, and learn.

What does it mean for them to feel special, feminine, and comfortable? For Marta, it all revolves around the chic little detail. The weave of a fabric, a vintage shirt with shells, an unusual contrast between precious and simple, that perfect fit that seems effortless even when you've spent half an hour thinking about it. The important thing is not to feel "rigid": elegance must flow, not constrain.

Giulia, on the other hand, has a more intimate approach. Over the years, her relationship with her body and image has changed: today she wants to feel serene, comfortable, at ease. Sometimes she wears a nice dress to pick up the children from school and then goes to a business dinner in jeans and a t-shirt. Her rule is simple and beautiful: listen to herself.

And what is LUCE to them? For Marta, LUCE is "the best answer I've found to dressing special every day." She's a true Paloma lover: she uses them to set up Patty with a fleece, and the same evening, with an elegant shirt, she's ready for dinner or an event.

Giulia, on the other hand, gave us a different, beautiful image: for her, LUCE is a feeling. It's the sun, the air, a scent. Something that changes your mood and perspective. It's lightness.

Spending time with Marta and Giulia was like spending a day at Pattyland:
colorful, spontaneous, full of energy and life. A double chat that felt like a game of ping pong: ideas bounced, completed each other, ignited each other. With a few off-camera moments of laughter... so much so that we couldn't even say a simple "hello" an indefinite number of times.

In short, we had fun.
