“SOFIA is a collection of things you can identify with” - Specialized in accessories, Sofia approached the world of fashion from an early age, thanks to the influence of her grandmothers, both seamstresses. It was through their work that she fell in love with the beauty of materials and details, developing a strong connection with the art of dressing. Her brand, SOFIA, was born from an intense dialogue with the memories and nostalgia that accompany her. Each creation is a reinterpretation of her experiences, a story that comes to life through her bags. Her home, which she calls a reflection of herself, is the beating heart of her creative process.
“I understand comfort as feeling at ease with what you are wearing” - In this context, clothing plays a fundamental role. For Sofia, it must first and foremost be versatile, suitable for both day and evening, combining practicality and sophistication. This ability to adapt to different occasions is one of the pillars of the concept of comfort that inspires both her brand and our proposal. Each garment must reflect her personality, harmoniously blending feminine elements and details with a masculine touch. A perfect example is the MABEL shirt, chosen for the interview: the touch of lurex and the decisive cut make it elegant and dynamic.
Sofia's elegance and sophistication emerge in the MARYLIN and PAMPLONA set, which embody the fusion of her minimalist tastes and the timeless elegance of black. This balance between sobriety and sophistication is also found in her bags, which are modern and refined.
“I searched for a word that would bring back my imagery inspired by 1960s Italy” - Her brand stands out for its refinement and the imagery it evokes, such as the name she chose for her Instagram profile, @buonasera.sofia, which brings to mind the elegance of the 1960s sung by Fred Buscaglione and the mood of la dolce vita. A name that, for Sofia, encapsulates the essence of her artistic proposal and the elegance that characterizes each of her creations.
Her work is not just a matter of art and fashion, but a fusion of her identity, her memories, and the search for a perfect balance between what she is and what she creates, all with a strong connection between her space, her clothing, and the world she has built around herself.
