#LUCE LOVES ART - The beauty of Art lies in its diversity. It's a form of expression that can be shaped in the simplest and most genuine way, the one that best represents you. Your own.
With this project, we wanted to tell this story that we love so much, adapting it to our Luce, in a perfect blend of style and originality.
We chose to introduce you to some artists: pleasant new discoveries, but also familiar faces. We had fun with them taking some photos and chatting about their art and their special way of being, in their uniqueness and their work.
1) Hi Marta! How would you define your aesthetic? Today I would define it as Retro-future-present. I haven't stopped researching vintage aesthetics, then I add a touch of now, a naive spritz, and I season it all with my humor, giving it a final toast with Amanda Lear-esque eroticism.
2) What catches your eye when you look at the world? I first look at it while listening to a good soundtrack made of 80s synths. With this filter, what catches my attention is always a peculiar sense of humor, even if unintentional. And then I'm very drawn to ugliness, even what's out of place, something that seems broken, if not on the outside, then in the soul: brokenness always adds an extra layer to the story. I'm drawn to imperfections, but lately I've discovered the charm of pure perfectionism, when it hides a certain dose of irony, which is hard to find!
3) What characteristics of yours do you think are noticeable in your art? Research, irony, and passion. But also the courage to throw myself into new challenges, using a new technique that I might have found during my beloved daily "Youtubology" quarter-hours. Recently, two clients told me that working with me is like dealing with an agency! Never with a single person, and that's because I use my rigor, or rather my aesthetic disorder, as my signature, which I always combine with ad hoc research, so that I always propose something different. The way I am, using the same style would make me feel caged, so I always try to find a way to surprise myself and others.
4) What is your "Luce" (Light), the thing that "lights you up"? Loving very much and feeling very loved, even more than I dreamed possible when I had braces and food would get stuck in my teeth.
