#MUSE : Iulia

My name is Iulia and I was born in Romania. In the 80s, I moved to Italy with my family and now I live in the province of Verona. I have a cat named Aphrodite and I study Political Science at the University of Padua. In the future, my ambition would be to specialize in human rights. Values such as equality and a sense of justice guided me in choosing my studies.

I have always had a strong passion for everything that represents a form of art. Painting, sculpture, poetry, and literature are my daily bread. Among all the arts, however, the one I feel closest to my way of being and expressing myself is poetry. The idea that a text leaves room for personal interpretation, for our way of feeling, fills me with emotion. My favorite poem is "Ho sceso, dandoti il braccio, almeno un milione di scale" by Eugenio Montale because it is melancholic and romantic. I also greatly appreciate sculpture and the work that fascinates me most is "Psyche Revived by Cupid's Kiss" by Antonio Canova, which I also had the opportunity to admire live. I dream of living in Paris because the Louvre is my favorite place.

Light is a topic I've reflected on a lot. I am an introspective person, I think a lot, sometimes I tend to isolate myself and indulge that part of me that lives "at night". For me, light means finding a balance between my "dark side" and the desire to live, experiment, and gain experience typical of my age.
