Hi Emmagiulia, tell us about yourself...
Hi Luce, I'm Emmagiulia, I'm 22 years old and I was born in Cremona. Although I live in a town 10 minutes from my hometown, I'm Emilian because my house is "below" the Po river.
I study Cultural Heritage at the Catholic University of Milan and I'm a Star Wars saga nerd.
I have a really strange sense of humor and I know all the planets in my birth chart. I have a strange attraction to the macabre and things that appear ethereal.
The two most important things I want others to know about me are: for my friends, Emmagiulia doesn't exist, I'm Magiu, and I hate cheese with a passion.
What is beauty to you?
Beauty is a very subjective concept. I am convinced that what is beautiful to me is not equally beautiful to someone else. I think beautiful things are those that make you feel special or simply those that put you in a good mood when you think about them.
What inspires you every day?
I'll be sentimental with this question, I feel inspired by my friends. I always try to surround myself with people who are involved in different fields than mine. So that we have different interests and points of view to be able to have new points of discussion to compare notes but also to learn something new.
What does inclusivity mean to you and how would you encourage women to be more confident in their bodies?
For me, inclusivity, especially in fashion, means that everyone, without any limitations, is represented without stereotypes. I firmly believe that the very first thing to do in life is to love yourself. If you don't love yourself, then relating to others becomes hell. And self-love can only happen by listening to yourself to understand what you really want. If you want to start dressing in a certain way, do it and don't care about others' opinions, if you want to lose weight, great, if it helps you be more in harmony with yourself, then it can only do you good, if you want to shave your head, grow armpit hair, gain a few pounds, dye your leg hair, tattoo your face, get piercings, etc... that's perfectly fine, as long as you can love yourself.
One thing people don't know about you.
I imagine people don't know this, but I think it's a fundamental part of my personality: I'm a huge nerd and above all a super fan of Star Wars. I'm so passionate that I'm unbearable. I know the names of the planets and species that exist in the saga's universe. I've watched all possible media and if you put a lightsaber in front of me, I can probably tell you who it belongs to.
